How to prepare for Infosys

These are our practice exercises, not reported interview questions. Adapt them to the responsibilities in your vacancy.

Explain a deployment identity failure

Our exercise for an AWS-focused application: a pipeline can build an image but cannot deploy it. A developer can perform the same action from a laptop.

Identify which identity each path uses, then trace the denied action and resource. Check trust conditions and authorization separately. Avoid solving the incident by giving the pipeline a human administrator credential. Describe the narrow permission change, audit evidence and a repeatable deployment test.

Recover from infrastructure drift

Our exercise: someone changes an instance setting in the console during an incident. The next Terraform plan proposes undoing it.

Compare desired configuration, recorded state and the live resource. Decide whether to adopt the emergency change or restore the declared value, then explain ownership and review. Show the relevant plan to the reviewer and preserve the incident record. Do not remove an object from state simply to make the diff disappear.

Confirm with your recruiter

  • Which job reference, delivery unit, location and cloud stack apply to my application?
  • Is this an experienced or graduate process, and will there be live automation, a client discussion or an assessment?
