TCS DevOps Engineer interview questions
Start your TCS DevOps preparation with the hiring route and the actual vacancy. The experienced India careers material below does not define one interview sequence. Use the release and Linux exercises to prepare evidence you can adapt to the named account and stack.
TCS interview process: what the sources establish
LIMITED DATA ON ROUND SEQUENCE · SOURCES REVIEWED
TCS India experienced hiring and cloud careers pages. They identify hiring routes and work areas, but do not establish a universal DevOps round sequence.
TCS’s Future Forward initiative is for experienced professionals in India. Its FAQ says required experience varies with the role, skills and openings, and directs applicants to the careers portal for requirements.
Hiring guidance: TCS India: Future Forward Opportunities
India experienced hiring initiative; not the graduate or NQT route.
The TCS India cloud careers page describes work across infrastructure, applications, data and advisory roles. That breadth makes the specific vacancy important when choosing a preparation stack.
Role information: TCS India: Cloud Careers
Cloud career families in India; not a DevOps job specification or evidence of interview rounds.
How to prepare for TCS
These are our practice exercises, not reported interview questions. Adapt them to the responsibilities in your vacancy.
Trace a failed promotion across environments
Our exercise: the test deployment passes but production starts with a different artifact. The release record contains only a mutable tag.
Trace the commit, build, immutable artifact identity and environment configuration separately. Explain how you would promote the tested artifact and verify what actually ran. Record approvals and a rollback target that still exists. Rebuilding from the same branch does not prove that the bytes are identical.
Review artifact repositories and promotion →Hand over an unresolved service incident
Our exercise: a Linux service repeatedly restarts near the end of your shift. Customers are affected, and the next engineer has not seen the investigation.
Prepare a concise handover: impact, last known healthy time, recent changes, commands already run and their results. Include the next discriminating check and the agreed update time. Read the unit result and journal before resetting the failure state, so the next responder can follow your evidence.
Investigate a restarting service →Confirm with your recruiter
- Is this application an experienced vacancy, a particular hiring drive or a graduate programme? Which job reference should I prepare against?
- Which account, cloud and delivery tools are in scope, and what technical, managerial or client discussions are actually scheduled?
